GCSEs and A-Levels in Jakarta

ISJ is building a Senior School for students who want a genuine British pathway through to university. GCSEs in Years 10 and 11. A-Levels in Years 12 and 13. Taught by subject specialists recruited from leading UK independent schools.

For families already at ISJ, it means your child can stay in a school that knows them. For families arriving in Jakarta, it means a through-school option from age 2 to 18 in Pondok Indah.

The Pathway

One School, All the Way Through

The English National Curriculum runs from Early Years to A-Levels without interruption. One curriculum, one community, one set of teachers who know your child.

Your child's teachers already know their strengths, their character, and where they need to be pushed. That context doesn't start over at Year 9. It deepens.

Qualifications That Open Doors

GCSEs are the gold standard of British secondary education, recognised by universities and employers worldwide. Students study a core of English, Maths, and Sciences alongside options they choose based on their strengths and interests.

Every subject is taught by a specialist. Classes are small enough that every student receives the challenge and support they need to achieve their best. The results across the Schools Trust network reflect what this model produces.

"Academic concept, implementation and structure are obvious strengths."

The Route to University

A-Levels are the qualification that UK and international universities trust most. Two years of focused, in-depth study in subjects your child has chosen because they're genuinely interested, not because they had to.

Dedicated university guidance begins from the start of the programme, whether a student is aiming for the UK, the US, Europe, or Asia. The goal is the right university, not just any university.

Looking Ahead

A New Secondary Campus in 2028

All secondary students will move to a dedicated new campus in 2028, 300 metres from the current site. Purpose-built for GCSEs and A-Levels, with the facilities and spaces that older students need.

Students currently in Year 7 will be the first to go all the way through to A-Levels at ISJ. The Senior School is being built around them.
